Description
Costa Rica produces outstanding washed arabica coffees. The geography, as well as the farming practices of Costa Rica are similar to those of Guatemala, and the resulting coffee product is also similar in flavor. Costa Rican coffees develop higher acidity with increasing altitude, while lower altitude coffee plants produce more neutral or balanced coffees.
Costa Rican coffee is sweet and fragrant, with somewhat more acidity compared to other American coffees.
